Has anyone been out chasing pheasant? I have been out a few times and had some luck.

Funny, I just walked in the door from my first trip over East.  My dad and I hunted with some friends for three days over there before he continued on to South Dakota.  It was the most pheasants I have ever seen in this state.  We kicked up so many birds it was incredible.  I have not really hunted for them in state for a while so I was pretty amazed.  Our new dog is finally showing the results of her training.  I used to hunt around Warden, but we were closer to the Southeast corner of the state.  What an amazing view, I would have never thought there were pheasants in half of the places we hunted.  Anyhow, lots of pheasants in the freezer, can't wait to eat them.

Glad to hear you had such a good time. The SE corner seems to be the popular place to go this year. Did you see many hunters over there?

We saw a few here and there.  I couldn't see a single soul from where we were most of the time.  Just endless rolling hills and silence.  Pheasants sound as loud as an elk when they come up in an area like that.  It scares the hell out of you when they come up.

There is nothing like it. Gets the hart pumping just thinking about it. Are you going to be making any more trips over this year?

I really want to, just have to find the time with late season deer and elk coming up.  I'm sure I will get the itch soon.

Pictures from my last hunt.  I'm going through withdrawls now.
