Volunteers needed to man the NWTF booth at the 2009 Western Washington Sportsmen's Show in Puyallup.  Here's a chance to talk turkey and promote the NWTF, plus get a free pass to enjoy the show (before or after your shift).  I can tell you this is a lot of fun and not even close to rocket science ... plus we will probably have at least one "experienced" person scheduled with you.  Free Gate Passes will be on a "Will Call" basis at the Gold Gate at 9th and Meridian and can be picked up starting 1 hour before the show opens for all volunteers.  Parking is also free at the Blue and Gold Lots off of South Meridian.   We need to have a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 3 people per shift in the booth. Shifts will probably be either 3 or 4 hrs long (see below), but may vary dependent on the responses I receive.
ie:        Wed thru Fri shifts would be noon to 4 pm and 4pm to 8 pm.
Saturday shifts would be 10 am to 2 pm, 2pm to 5pm, and 5pm to 8 pm.
Sunday shifts would be 10 am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm.
Show Dates and Times are as follows:
Wed. Jan. 21  - noon to 8 pm
Thur. Jan. 22  - noon to 8 pm
Fri.  Jan. 23    - noon to 8 pm
            Sat.  Jan. 24   - 10 am to 8 pm
            Sun. Jan 24    -  10 am to 4 pm
Sunday's last shift would be expected to help Dave Braaten & the Tacoma Chapter breakdown and packout the booth.  Dave and the Tacoma Chapter will also be setting up the booth on Tuesday, but feel free to offer Dave a hand if you can.  I also can provide information on RV and Local Motel Accomodations for those that may want or need it.   Note:  The booth is on the second floor of the Pavilion, along the back wall, third from the left (or north side).

Let me know as the time slots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Can still use some NWTF volunteers, especially Thursday from noon to :4:30 and Friday from 3pm to 6:30 pm. I have to have the tickets ready to go to the will call booth Monday, so let me know not later than Sunday night (if not sooner).

The National Wild Turkey Federation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the hunting tradition. It currently has more than 400,000 members in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 14 other foreign countries. So that is great on that.
